Individual tickets for Davis Cup by BNP Paribas in Toronto will go on sale August 22

Canada will face the Netherlands from September 14-16 at Coca-Cola Coliseum

Tennis Canada announced Tuesday that individual tickets for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group play-off tie in Toronto will go on sale Wednesday August 22. The tie, which will be played at Coca-Cola Coliseum, will see Canada take on the Netherlands with the winner earning a place in the higher group for 2019. Tickets will be available starting at $37.50.

“The team is excited to play in Toronto and we plan on taking advantage of our home court,” said Frank Dancevic, captain of the Canadian Davis Cup team. “We have been part of World Group for seven years now and our goal is to win this tie so that we have the chance to compete for the Davis Cup title in 2019 under the new formula that will be implemented starting next year. We will need the support of our incredible Canadian fans and we hope they come out in big numbers.”

Dancevic will choose the members of his team for this tie at a later date. Many players have defended their country’s colours in recent years including Daniel Nestor, Peter Polansky, Vasek Pospisil, Milos Raonic, Adil Shamasdin, Brayden Schnur, and Denis Shapovalov.

Individual tickets will go on sale Wednesday August 22 at 11 a.m. E.T. and will be available starting at $37.50. Furthermore, there are still a limited number of series tickets for sale allowing fans to attend all three days of the competition at a discounted price. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster or by calling 1 855-985-5000 (see match schedule below).

*The official draw on September 13 will determine the matches for the weekend. All matches will be played in a best-of-five format. If the outcome of the tie is decided before the last day, Sunday’s matches will be best-of-three.
